Title |
A tale of two chiralities in frustrated spin systems |
Abstract |
The issue of the spin chirality as the alternative order parameter for spin liquid systems lacking magnetic order has been a recurring theme over the past several decades in the context of both classical and quantum spin systems. In this talk I describe our recent work that deals with (1) the emergence of a vector chirality order in classical XY spin models with a large bi-quadratic interaction on the triangular lattice, and (2) a scalar chirality order in the quantum spin-1/2 Heisenberg model on the pyrochlore lattice. |
