The present status of high Tc cuprate superconductivity is reviewed. If we limit ourselves to single crytals of optimally doped YBCO,LSCO, and Bi2212,the superconductivity is well described by the BCS theory of d-wave superconductivity. Also the pseudogap phase is understood in terms of d-wave density wave(d-DW). Both the giant Nernst effect and the angle dependent magnetoresistance are consistently described in terms of d-DW. Then the coexistence region of both d-wave superconductor and d-DW should be the gossamer superconductor,on which more works are required.
