How
to get to KIAS
Note that Satellite workshop will be held in Seoul not Busan.
Arrival procedures at the
Incheon international airport
There
are several choices to get to KIAS or Hotels from ICN. (From Gimpo airport (for
some airplanes from Japan) you can
follow the similar procedure). Hotels are at a few km distances from
KIAS.

1.
By Airport limousine bus
The
most convenient way is to use Airport
limousine bus which we strongly recommend.
When,
you exit a gate of the terminal, you can see bus stops. You can purchase the
limousine bus ticket to ¡°Holiday Inn Seongbuk¡± or ¡°Gireum¡± for about
13,000 KRW(Won) either in cash or with credit cards at bus ticket booths. The
locations of the booths are marked on the map below (red dots). You can also
pay the fare in cash when you get on the bus.
It will
take about 80~90 minutes for buses to arrive the destinations. When you return,
please do not confuse the Gimpo airport bus stop with ICN bus stop.
This bus might the best choice. Please don¡¯t confuse this hotel with another hotel, holiday inn ¡°Seoul¡±. Go to the bus stop 3B or 10A (bound for Dobong/ Gangbuk/ Seongdong) and make sure the destination of the bus is Holiday Inn Seongbuk. Get off at the bus stop front of Holiday inn hotel, if you go to the hotel. If you want to go to KIAS , you can get off at the Korea univ. station (1 stop before) and take a taxi there (3 minutes, cost ~2000 KRW, 10 minutes by foot) Please print out this map and show it to a taxi driver, who will then know where you are headed.

2.
By Taxi
3. By Subway |
Seoul has a very nice subway
system. You can reach everywhere in Seoul within 10 minutes by foot from a
subway station.
But from ICN it is rather
complicated to reach KIAS.
First, go to Gimpo Intl
Airport station by airport railroad express
(AREX
) at ICN and then transfer to metro line 5 (violet) and go to JONGRO 3 GA (Red Circle). Transfer to line 1
(ul·tra·ma·rine) and get off at HOEGI station.
You can take a taxi there (about 2000 KRW) to go to KIAS.
