The optimal rate is known to provide the unique measure of entanglement for pure states. As its generalization to the multipartite case, we consider asymptotic formation of an arbitrary multipartite state from the GHZ state. We provide a general protocol and show that its rate tends to multipartite quantum discord in the asymptotic limit.
